Sam studied at the Whitehouse Institute of Design on the Sydney campus in Australia, where he was born and raised. After university, he moved to New York, where he lived for 7 years, immersing himself in new opportunities. He is now based in LA and always knew that he wanted to pursue a styling career.
As a talented stylist, Sam has built his career by consolidating his work in different ways. He’s the one who created Doja Cat’s styling for the Streets music video and also worked with SZA at the 60th Grammy Awards, styling her in a stunning white Versace dress. Not only that, he has also worked with Grammy winner Lizzo for her SNL performance in 2019, where she wore Gucci, and for the BRIT Awards in 2020, where she wore an iconic Moschino dress that resembled a chocolate bar wrapper.
He continues to shine through his long-term partnership with Bebe Rexha, having styled her for red carpets such as the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the VMAs, as well as for performances and fashion events. Bebe Rexha’s iconic look in her Chain My Heart music video was also styled by Woolf. His work with her has been featured in magazines such as Euphoria Magazine and Basic Magazine
Represented by The Only Agency, Sam has also worked with stars such as Doechii, Avril Lavigne, Jhené Aiko, Latto, Ava Max, Missy Elliott, and many others. Known for his glamorous and storytelling looks that became his signature, Sam’s been gaining a lot of attention from the media for his work with Doechii.
Their partnership started in 2023 when he dressed her for Billboard’s Women in Music event. Since then, they haven’t stopped working together. He’s definitely responsible for Doechii’s rise in the past year, creating a strong visual image for her that reflects her growth and has transformed her previously playful style. They decided to adopt a new aesthetic, trying a preppy look. This style involves renowned brands such as Thom Browne, Miu Miu, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Schiaparelli, and Tom Ford.
Some iconic moments featured this aesthetic at the 2025 Grammy Awards Ceremony, NBC’s Tiny Desk, Paris Fashion Week, The Late Show performance, and of course, on the cover of her Grammy Award–winning album Alligator Bites Never Heal.
Sam Woolf is always creating memorable fashion moments with his clients, proving he’s definitely the one to convey well-storytelling looks. His work has also been featured in magazines such as L’Officiel, Wave, and Numéro.
